Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

How do I publish a study?

Drafting rules

We reproduce below some rules of writing as a small guide in the correct elaboration of a theological study, with a view to its publication in the journal Scientific Annals of the "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi (New Series), Orthodox Theology.

The study sent for publication must be accompanied by some personal data of the author, data that will facilitate communication with the coordinating editor of the journal:

-     first and last name, profession and/or academic title;

-     institutional affiliation;

-     E-mail;

-     phone number.

The studies will be techno-edited in Word

They will be accompanied by abstract (maxim 300 de cuvinte) și keywords (3-5 words), both in a language of international circulation.

Page settings: Custome size: 17/24; margini: left, right: 2.2 cm; top: 3 cm; bottom: 2cm.

The title of the study: Font Times New Roman (14 pct.), bold, center alignment

Name and surname author(s): Font Times New Roman (12 pct.), bold, center alignment.

Chapter title: Font Times New Roman (12 pct.), bold, left alignment

The text of the study (max. 20 pages): Font Times New Roman (12 pct.), alignment justified, line spacing: single; first line: 1 cm).

Citations are placed between quotation marks ("..."), and at the end of them the reference is made to the author (before the punctuation mark) in the form: (Author year, volume - if there are several volumes, page/pages).

Quotation in quotation (ie a quoted passage that is, in turn, included in another quotation) uses is marked by French quotation marks «...»).

Quotations longer than 3 lines will be highlighted in a separate paragraph (Font Times New Roman 10 pt.), justified alignment, indented 1 cm after-before, line spacing: single; first line: none (keeping the quotation marks tight).
